Commemoration in Orry-la-Ville!

In accordance with the sanitary measures taken relating to the fight against covid-19 and to our great regret, the annual commemoration at the Dutch honorary cemetery, located in the municipality of Orry-la-Ville will take place again this year in a form very restricted and behind closed doors.   We nevertheless wish to highlight this commemoration and the liberation of the Netherlands, and thus commemorate all the Dutch, who died for our freedom, by presenting this  made by drone.  These images were taken during the ceremony of May 4 in 2018 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the cemetery of honor. The annual ceremony is usually organized by the Dutch Embassy in Paris, with the support of the municipality of Orry-la-Ville.  It takes place in the presence of local and regional authorities, French veterans, as well as French and Dutch schoolchildren.  The military music is played by the Dutch ensemble of the Fanfare Korps Nationale Reserve. Artistic exchange between French and Dutch diplomacy!

During a first visit to Paris today as Dutch Foreign Minister, Wopke Hoekstra lent his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian a work from the Dutch Foreign Ministry's art collection. The work  "Bodily presence and ways of mark making #3"  by Dutch visual artist Lotte Wieringa can be seen in the Empire lounge at the Quai d'Orsay during the French EU Presidency.  Conversely, the work  "La Madeleine"  by Brodbeck & de Barbuat, from the collection of the French ministry, adorns the gallery of ministers of the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs in The Hague this semester. The New Dutch Center in Paris: group lessons for adults!

The new season of face-to-face Dutch courses for adults is about to start at the New Dutch Center, whose premises are located at Atelier NĂ©erlandais, 121 rue de Lille, 75007 Paris.  Classes take place either during the day or in the evening. From Monday, September 6, the center is organizing intensive cycles of 6 consecutive days for beginners.  From Thursday, September 16, the center offers 8 or 16 week cycles at all levels, from beginner to very advanced.
